BBall

In my never ending journey to finally get back healthy I have found a way to get the running I need without running around in circles on a track. I have been playing a lot of basketball lately and it has really made me feel great. My legs have really gotten a good workout from constantly running, jumping, stopping, going all over the court. Corbin has been my hooping partner the past few days and we basically run the court... yeah. But we do have a lot of fun and it is a great way to run around, have fun, and meet people all at the same time.

Got some help

I've been hitting the weight room a lot harder the past few days. The biggest difference now is that I have some help. I've been working out with my friend Maleek and we are both trying to play football again. I think it helps that me and him have the same goals and can push each other to be the best that we can be. It also helps that we get along outside the weight room. If you really want results I suggest you guys find a friend that you trust and push each other to the limit. My workouts have been a lot more productive since me and him started working out together.

The Struggle

posting everyday has definitely been a struggle for me, but not as much of a struggle as constantly working out. working out by yourself sucks, which is why i usually like to lift with friends. but when my friends don't want to lift, i seem to skip out on my lifts. its also hard to keep putting my body through really hard routines because i need time to recover. im going to try to post pre workout and post work out from here on out so that i can reach the post amount that we are looking for

Super Curls

This week i experimented with a set of curl workouts that really worked my biceps. I have pretty big arms so I felt like I could handle any curl workout that I found. This workout however, is meant to take you down no matter how strong you are because it makes you keep going until you can't any longer. What you have to do is take about 45 lbs on a preacher curl and do 7 curls, then you take off 10 lbs and do 7 more, after that take off 10 more lbs. once you get down to 5 lbs and do 7 reps, you go back up adding 10 lbs until you get to 45 lbs. You keep going up and down until you can't do it any longer. This will definitely be a good workout for anyone who wants to get their biceps bigger, stronger, and more defined.

More Changes!!!

I am constantly looking for a way to improve this health quest that I am on. I have started consuming fruit like its my day job! pineapples, oranges, and grapes are my lunch. as well as a bottle of water, I feel great throughout the day and i'm not hungry like I though I would be. You guys should try it. Go to lafollete and grab 2 pineapple cups, 2 orange cups, 2 grape cups, and a water. That is all under 7.55 which means you won't have to use your dining plus. The energy that fruit gives is quite remarkable and the weight is already coming off. hopefully this can help some of you guys who are trying to lose weight!

THIS IS SPARTAAAA

Ok so I've been away for awhile doing my challenge. It has be pretty successful, but I have found something even better than push ups and sit ups! (better than push ups and sit ups?) YES BETTER THAN PUSH UPS AND SIT UPS! I have discovered the workout that the guys from the movie 300 did to get in shape for the movie. I am now doing that work out everyday. The first day I did this I threw up. Thats how great this workout is. I feel amazing doing it. It consists of 25 pull ups, then 50 dead lifts of 135 pounds, then 50 push ups (so there are push ups), then 50 box jumps, then 50 of an abs workout of your choice, the 50 of a shoulder workout of your choice, ended by 25 more pull ups. The key to the workout is to do all of these things as fast as you can. This is what makes it so tiring and intense! I'll keep you posted on how becoming a spartan is going.

Day 2

I guess it didn't post yesterday, but that was the first day of sit ups. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But now since its the next day, I'm definitely feeling it. My shoulders are still kinda sore from Monday's push ups, but I'm ready for round 2. I'll keep y'all posted on how this goes...

The Challenge

Over the next 30 days I expect a transformation to occur, I expect great things people! A lot of us are doing a challenge that has to do with getting into better shape or being healthier and I am no different. I have a specific plan for what I am going to do. I am going to do 500 push ups or sit ups every single day for the next 30 days. It will be hard but I really think that it will be worth it at the end. I want my arms to big like they were back in high school and my chest to be defined again. I am also going to try to make my abs stronger and better looking through the sit ups. I have already started today and my arms feel very heavy and my chest is sore, but I view these signs as a good thing because it means my muscles are responding to the workout. As these days go on I might change up my routine so that my body won't get too used to doing the same thing. By the end of my time I hope to look and feel better about my body. It will also set me up for my summer which I want to participate in a more intense workout regimen. I hope that others will be able to see the transformation that my body will take and hopefully it will lead to even more confidence... oh my!

Like I said, this is day one. It is really kicking my butt, but I will push on. The most stress is definitely going to my shoulders. going down and up 500 times is no joke, but if I keep doing this I'll be ripped in no time!
